Finalist in Tech Leaders Awards

Ryan Dempsey, CEO and founder of The Compliance Workbook has been shortlisted at this year’s Tech Leaders Awards, for the coveted Disruptive Leader of the Year category.

The Tech Leaders Awards, hosted by Information Age, the UK’s leading monthly business-technology magazine for 20 years, are celebrating business, IT and digital leaders driving disruptive innovations, demonstrating value from technology and finding better ways of doing things. The awards bring together hundreds of Britains top businesses and technology executives to honour the industry’s leading players across 14 categories.

Within the social housing sector there has been a mentality that 10% analysis of documents is acceptable. Today, greater accountability and accurate measurement of risk is demanded. Ryan saw that there is a requirement for a more statistically orientated and sophisticated approach. He has disrupted the status quo by shinning a light on the industry and daring to stand up and demonstrate where improvements can be made by utilising innovative technology. He has simplified the process to ensure people have a way to manage compliance without having to find shortcuts. The most impressive part of this is that the new technology has been developed to retrofit into current process meaning there is no need to overhaul an organisations systems or process.

Ryan commented: “I am delighted to have made the shortlist for such a prestigious category as ‘Disruptive Leader of the Year’. TCW shows how disrupting an industries process in a positive way, by standing up and asking ‘why can’t we do this in a different and more efficient way?’ can move us away from doing the minimum required whilst driving business value and truly managing compliance to improve public safety.”

The shortlist represents 117 finalists that have been whittled down from over 300 nominations. The winners are determined by an independent judging panel and announced at the gala ceremony to be held at the Royal Lancaster London on the 13th September.

“Recognising the leaders behind the UK’s technology industry is important, and I’m delighted that the Tech Leaders Awards facilitates this deserved celebration. The quality and breadth of the shortlist confirms Britain’s standing as a leader in digital innovation today.” Nick Ismail, Information Age’s Content Editor.
